Impressed/Unimpressed

Impressed:   President Obama.  Looks the look.  Talks the talk.
Hopefully, he'll walk the walk.

Unimpressed:  Michelle Obama.  How come she always looks like she is
sucking on a lemon?  And that yellow dress looked like she was wearing
one.

Impressed:  The Obama kids.  Gorgeous little munchkins.  The older one
looks SO much like her mom, only smiles more (which is better).

Impressed:  Joe Biden.  Struck me as the jolly ol' back-slapper he was
chosen to be.  And didn't have a gaffe-tastic day on top of it (of
course, he wasn't allowed to speak).

Unimpressed:  John Roberts.  OK... I like Chief Justice Roberts.  A
LOT.  And I am impressed with him as a jurist.  But... DUDE.

Impressed:  President Bush.  You SUCKED as a responsible tender of the
national wealth, Dubya, but you still have class and dignity that 99%
(or more) of your rabid loon critics lack and likely will never have.

Unimpressed:  The Obama crowd.  You stay classy, Obamabots.

Unimpressed:  Obama's speach writers.  Pedestrian effort the first
time the curtain rose.

Impressed:  Aretha Franklin, Itzahk Perlman, Yo-Yo Mah, et.al.  Well
done.

Unimpressed:  Poets at inaugrations not named Robert Frost.

Impressed:  Participants in the Inaugral Parade.  Cold as a witches
*** out there, but the show went on.  And went well.

Impressed:  The United States of America.  Yet another peaceful one.
The  Founding Fathers ROCK.

I wonder if she doesn't *want* to be First Lady.  Or at least has a lot
of reservations.

I remember reading that he had to do the hard sell to her to even run
in the first place - she wanted no part of it initially from what I
understand.

Pfft. I remember those days of long ago.  (Sigh)  I remember not being
able to drink coffee for months when I saw the error of my ways and
"went straight."
