World Class, Booze Enhanced Pick' em Show-Week 4

Post by Scott I. Ferrel » Fri, 17 Sep 2004 11:56:43

I'd like to take this moment to send out a big ol' *** YOU to all the
assorted media talking asses who predicted Michigan to slap the irish
around. I'm blaming the loss squarely on your pointy heads. Please do
the honorable thing and kill yourselves now.

The precedeing has been a Paid Political Adverti***t.
rec.sport.football.college is not responsible for the content nor claims
made in this adverti***t.

On to other stuff...

This week's slate of games is facing a lot of shake up, depending on
what this rather large hurricane is going to do.

Last Week: 44-16
Year:  92-23

Maryland at West ***ia

West ***ia enters the season as the presumptive favorite in the new
Big East. The schedule has been fairly light so far, but a test looms in
the form of a Maryland team that has avoided the opening weeks upset
that has plagued it the past couple of years. A victory here for WVU
will boost an already confident bunch. A Maryland win bodes well as they
head into the newer, tougher, ACC. Kay-Jay Harris has said that he wants
to play, but he's an unknown. Pressure is on the Mountaineers here. I
hope they don't crack.

Mountaineers over Testudo 21-17
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Miami (Not Ohio) over LaTechque 37-20
***ia Tech gets the easy entry to the ACC 40-7
***ia toys with Akron 56-21
Ramblin' Wreck over just plain wrecked 35-13
Clemson sucks less than AGGIEZ! 10-7
Wake adopts VT's strategy beats up on NCA&T 66-3
Bucknuts over Werewolves of Raleigh 28-21
Florida State College for Women over UAB 16-10
BC over UConn 21-14
Cincinnati over Syrasucks 27-9
AIR CORN! over Pitt 28-17
Rutgers over Kent State 6-3
Temple over FAMU 33-10
Kansas over FIRE RANDY! 44-24
Michigan does unnice things to SDSU 49-10
Illinois wins a 1-A game 21-20
Indiana over Kensucky 31-17
Minnesota runs over the sheep 37-21
Penn State takes a break from losing 48-10
Ty saves his bacon for one more week, 20-13
Wisconsin skunks Aridzona 21-6
Arizona State remembers last year 35-22
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Texas Christian at Texas Tech

This oughta be fun. TCU has scored 48 and 44 points in their first two
games. Texas Tech is again putting up gaudy passing statistics. If both
teams don't break 35 each, I'll be highly disappointed. TCU does have a
little defense, and against Tech, which has no defense, that'll be
enough.

Horny Frogs over 409th Texas Air Squadron 57-50
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kansas State abuses La-Cajun(who have more than football on their minds)
44-0
NoIll over the Cyclopaths ($1) 21-19
Missouri punts Ball State 56-6
Oklahoma opens Duck season 45-17
Oklahoma State over SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...55-10
Colorado deepens the pain of North Texas 47-12
------------------------------------------------------------------------
South Florida at South Carolina

I'd like to take this time to flip off the SEC for their bizarre TV
rules. No TV for this game. Not even the standard USF road game feed.
I'm hoping that the Bulls can go into Columbia and pull the upset, but
alas certain factors had to happen. The 'Cocks had to upset Georgia and
then get so self-centered that they forget who they are playing. Didn't
happen. USF needed to get through their opener with Tennessee Tech
unscathed. Didn't happen. I'm rooting for USF here, but I'm expecting
the worst.

Ass Kickin' Chickens over Bulls 35-20
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Memphis mauls Arkie State 41-10
Houston throttles Army 39-16
Navy over Tulsa 31-30
Georgia over the Herd 37-21
Toledo over EMU 44-30
Nevada over Buffalo 34-17
CMU over SEMO 41-0
Miami (Not Florida) over Ohio (Ohio) 45-9
Air Force over Vegas 21-7
Oregon State gets on the right track 28-20
Utah over Utah State 49-13
Men of Troy over Men of Provo 56-17
Washington State deep-fries Idaho 55-13
UCLA whacks the purple puppies with a newspaper 35-7
------------------------------------------------------------------------
LSU at Auburn

Auburn has avoided the early season letdown. LSU survived the Beavs and
massacred Arkie State. An early test for both teams. Quite frankly, I
think that Auburn has the more complete team, LSU is having a few issues
at QB. Auburn just needs to turn and hand off. Because the game is at
Auburn and LSU may have more on their minds, Aubie gets the W. Barely.

Auburn over LSU 20-17
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Florida at Tennessee

Remember when this one decided the SEC East? In all fairness, I miss
Visor Boy.

FIRE RON! over Phat Phil 31-28
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arkansas pig sooies La-Indian 45-3
Alabama runs roughshod over the Catamounts <Big score>-<Little Score>
No Eli No Mo over We're used to it 36-15
Mississippi State over Maine (MAINE??????) 37-0
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Florida Atlantic at Middle Tennessee State

I ususally don't offer commentary on Sun Belt games. FAU has knocked off
Hawaii in Honolulu, not an easy task. They follow that up by knocking
off the defending conference champs IN DENTON. Apparently Howard
Schnellenberger knows what the hell he is doing. GO OWLS!

(Egad)
FAU over MTSU 20-10
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Troy State over Aggies de Nueva Mehico 24-14
San Jose State is this desperate? 45-3
Hawaii boils Rice 46-20
Fresno State takes a break from causing ulcers 66-9
Boise punks Mike and the Miners 53-12

57 games (Depending on Ivan)

Next on Iron Chef: Masahiko Kobe beats an octopus to death with a daikon
radish.

You fail to unnerstand that if we wait until later in the year, LSU
will have healed all their injuries and gained experience under center
for the DOMINATE freshman QB know as Jemarcus Russell. Then they will
beat us even worser than ever.

It's better to go ahead and take your beating now than to wait for
your stump whoopin' ***violation later.

This game couldn't be any more irrelevent if it was soccer.
Neither of these teams has a prayer of the BCS title game, even if
they run the table. And it has nothing NUTHINK to do with their
respective conference championships. therefore this is naught but
a preseason scrimmage, work on some things, just like practice.

Both coaching staffs said that it was a clean, legal hit. An unfortunate
result. Coach Leavitt has offered the player's family use of his condo
to stay at until Hixon is released.
