NEW YORK - A Columbia University professor told thousands of students
and faculty that he would like to see "a million Mogadishus"
referring to the 1993 ambush in Somalia that killed 18 Americans and
inspired the movie "Black Hawk Down."

The professor, Nicholas De Genova, also called for the defeat of U.S.
forces in Iraq (news - web sites) and said, "The only true heroes are
those who find ways that help defeat the U.S. military." And he
asserted that Americans who call themselves "patriots" are white
supremacists.

De Genova's hopes for the defeat of the United States were cheered by
the crowd of 3,000 at the Wednesday night anti-war teach-in, Newsday
reported. But his mention of the Somali ambush "I personally
would like to see a million Mogadishus" was largely met with
silence.

Free speech is a right but I thought calling for the overthrow in public of the government was a crime?  ;)

He's a dirtbag for the Mogadishus statement.

Mostly because people had no idea what he was talking about. Unless he
prefaced the mention of Mogadishu with a reminder of what actually happened
there.

Interesting. He is wishing for 18,000,000 American deaths and 1,000,000,000
Muslim deaths.

What a maroon.

They put on college football's most distinctive uniforms, thinking about
those before them. The walk-ons, the All-Americans, the Legends who made
sure to uphold the tradition... They are the black shoes, white helmets and
plain uniforms of one of America's most successful programs. They are
heroes, they are winners....they are Penn State football.

Sounds like another college professor trying to make a name for himself.
Throw his sorry ass out on the battlefield and see what he'd wish for.

If they say they're anti war yet cheer for the deaths
of US Troops then they're not anti war but hypocrites.
