Weekend games

Did anyone have the opportunity to watch the preseason games this weekend?

San Francisco's first unit looks pretty damn good - moving the ball at
will while their whole first unit was in.  Pittsburgh did not look so good
- I hope (for the sake of Steeler's fans) that O'Donnell had an off day.  I
think that Pittsburgh, more than Dallas, needs their star running back in
their backfield to be an upper echelon team.

The Philly/Saints game was pathetic.  I've written it off for being a
pre-season affair, but if I'm an Eagles fan, I'm somewhat worried right now
(ha ha - fortunately, I'm not).  You've got Cunningham and a good offensive
line, and that's pretty much it on that side of the ball.  Although I don't
think that the loss of Reggie White is going to hurt the Eagles that much.
Both defensive first units looked pretty good.

Finally, if all Dallas is going to do with Emmitt is sign him for a year,
and then make him the franchise player, then why don't they offer him a
$2.5 mil salary with a $1.1 mil signing bonus?  Anyone ... class ...
anyone?

Mark
Go Dallas

PS  That's 2 "M"s and 2 "T"s in Emmitt.

Cunningham and a good offensive, that is it ? How about Calvin Williams,
who had couple receptions, and Oliver Bailey(?)- a rookie, Fred Barnett-
who was on the sidelines for that game, James Joseph, and heck even
Herschel Walker (retread, but 1000+ yards last year).

Heck, I am even more optimistic now!

Hell,

If a Dallas fan is telling Eagles fans that we have a good offensive
line and QB, then I KNOW we're ok.  Just don't forget about holdout
Barnett, and Heath Sherman.  Victor (not Oliver) Bailey is going to
do wonders for the third WR position, non-existent from last year.

Defensively, Millard looks great! Also, keep in mind that neither
Michael Carter, Clyde Simmons, OR Tim Harris played.

If you want to talk about pathetic, Minnesota and Dallas sounds about
right.

BTW, I like the short passing game the Eagles are now employing.  I
think Zeke Bratkowski is trying to bring back the offense that gave
Randall his best season (1990).
