I gotta agree with this one. dump all of your backup D, K, TE, and
marginal WRs and scoop up every available *starting* RB and then those
on the verge of earning a starting job (buckhalter, smith, maybe
The knock on Hearst/Barlow in SF and Dunn/Duckett in Atl is that the
head coaches have said they'll split carries. Take that for what it's
worth, but I'd rather have a full-time starter. I picked up Mack in
Houston as #4 for that very reason.
A little secret about Yahoo leagues is that it will allow you to not
carry starters at all positions (at least until game time). What
that means is that pre-season, you can dump all "marginal" positions
(D, K, TE) and stockpile running backs until you see how things pan
out in training camp/preseason. Then dump the least favorable RBs
(non-starters, split carriers, poor running offenses) to pick up *one*
D, K, TE off of waivers.
