Congrats.  Especially considering this isn't even UConn's best season
of late nor ND's worst.

it's pretty darn close to nd's worst.....they're going to go 6-6 with
a garbage schedule.......is it better than 3-9 with a kickass
schedule?  sure.  But it's not that much better.

This is a *bad* nd football team.  anyone beating them has nothing to
be proud of.

UConn needs to be very proud of that win today.  Congrats Huskies!

Congrats to Yukon!

Not too many people have a clue when they actually first started in the
"Big Leagues" - especially in relation to the "tradition" that the
Dohmers have...

a team that can maybe not even get bowl eligible(hard to do in the
bigleast!) should be proud of such a win?  Jesus.....this season has
been an ***(independent of the tragedy) for uconn.......beating
nd really doesnt change that.

because:

1) they still arent in the big leagues
2) they havent done all that well(a few 7-5 type seasons and pizza
bowl type deals) when they were in the subbig leagues....

sheeeesh....

first of all, I'm not sure your grasping the micro-economics of this
season and how close this team has been to being undefeated and all
the extra-ciriculars that have been swirling around the program.  This
is a decent team that's had some bad luck.

and I know you don't grasp the macro-economics of where this program
has come from and where it is now...that this rinky-dink program went
into the bluest of blue ***'s house and took out a W.

Which is funny considering someone here who thinks he knows football
had them in the top 7 or whatever it is he does a few weeks ago.

and how many programs from major conferences go years between bowls -
shit, we (as a fan base) thought it'd be ***ing YEARS before we got
to a bowl and we've already gone to 3 in a short time.   You really
are clueless.

oh gmafb....this whole "we've lost 5-6 games by a total of 16 pts(or
whatever the hell it is bs)" is complete bs......

on another level, take away some of the bs bigleast and ooc wins and
instead of being "close to undefeated" you could be "close to
3-8".....

HTH

As bill parcells said....well....you know the quote

  This

Quote:

yes, could you be 8-3 with your current schedule?  hell yeah.  could
you also be 4-8 with a non bigleast schedule?  hell yes......

ummm....backwards is where they seem to be going......their record
keeps regressing.....

dude.......there are like bowls for 68 teams now......60-65% of all
bcs teams go to bowls now......from the top conferences up to 75-80%
can go to bowls now.....

going to a pizza type bowl(hell even in cusa or somesuch) means little
now.........

and we've already gone to 3 in a short time. ? You really

Quote:

Im clueless because you think it's 1976 and going to a bowl means
something?  Now they dont even care if your 6 win season was against
all div1a teams.....sheeesh.......going to a bowl is about the most
meaningless metric in the 21st century possible
