Poll - Best Draft Position?

I'm drafting this year at #2 in a 12-team league.  Serpentine draft . Common
sense says I'll take Faulk or James , but since my next pick isn't until #23
overall, does it make sense drop down to #11 to get a chance at either two
top backs or a premier WR or QB? In the past four years, I've drafted at #11
or #12 and each year I've either won or come in second.  What do you think
is the best position?

You're fine where you're at. James and Faulk are so much better than the
players you'll get at #11, it's not worth it to trade down. You'll find some
nice talent at #23, then another solid player at #26.

In my opinion It's only worth trading draft positions if you would rather
draft another player than Faulk or James. If so, then try to trade for the
draft position when you know your chosen player will stil be available.

If you keep winning at #11 or 12 make the trade down. Not sure what # of
picks to get in compensation. Don't fix what isn't broken-tough to
improve upon a 1st or 2nd. So why change strategys?

I don't think there is a "best draft position". It all is determined on how
well you draft as well as the other factors during the season. However,
dropping down in position and acquiring more picks or higher picks in the
top 6 rounds can help build a solid foundation. You never know how desperate
someone will be to trade up to grab a player they think they must have.
