Is anyone aware of a Newsgroup of local swim committee (LSC) officials? I
am in the Pacific Northwest Swimming LSC, and I would like to share
off-the-wall information with other officials.

I'm a USS official and I think there are others that lurk around here as
well. Coaches also. I'd welcome a discussion of officiating questions.

There is a portion of the USS bulletin board concerned with officiating
which is available via Telnet at usswim.org. The interface is crude and
frustrating, but there are forums related to officiating where some
relatively interesting stuff gets posted. There's also the Colorado
Swimming WWW page that has a vector to another WWW site that deals with
officiating. I can post that address if you like.

What sort of things would you like to talk about?

I am an official in Michigan (also General Chairman). Add my name to the

I'd also be interested in such a newsgroup. I'm an official with
Inland Empire Swimming (IES), which includes Eastern Washington and
North Idaho.
