ASA (ENGLAND) NATIONAL SC CHAMPS FINALS RESULTS EXPLAINED

Post by The Bennett » Mon, 18 Dec 1995 04:00:00

I have just posted the results of the English ASA Short Course
Championships (25m) swum at Sheffield over the past four days.
This was a new format for a four day full Olympic programme meet in
that it was designed with BBC TV in mind. This meant the first day
Thursday was heats only, Friday was first finals (session 3) followed
by more evening heats, Saturday comprised two sessions of finals
(sessions 5 & 6), Sunday was then a conventional morning
heats evening finals (session 8).

There were some reasonably good times with Mark Foster
breaking his own 50m Butterfly World Record and a fast
1500m with Ian Wilson posting a 14:40.69.

I received a disk from the Sport Systems program that was used to run
the meet as I left Sheffield this evening and after limited editing
such as removing B Finals I was able to post the results
for you.

Best regards from a chilly England..... Roger Bennett
