NE of Indy]. Two time Jr. National qualifier.
Location: US Open, San Antonio, Texas
Story: Thursday, finals in the 50 making Sr. Nat. Cut placing 10th.
Looks awesome. Saturday, coach is gone, back in Indiana[I had to leave
for a club meet at home]. Does prelims, qualifies for bonus consols
19th. Goes to a movie[101 dalmations], comes back to car....car is
broken into....swim bag stolen....waits for police...never arrive...dad
finally replaces car, suit, goggles. Warms up, feels great...looks
better than in morning. Gets up for race....goggle strap breaks!!!
Jessica Foschi is getting out of water...asks her if she could borrow
her goggles....everything is fine....starter asks them to step
up....goggle strap comes loose!!! throws goggles down, in frustration,
in despair...nothing she can do....finishes dead last....
I guess a swim that wasn't meant to be. But, what composure. This girl
