But one reason I'm still a naturist (despite being pathologically shy)
is that I hate wearing any swimming costume.  It gets wet.  Yuk.  It's
worse than reading stroppy naturists insulting each other.  Much worse.

I won't take a swimming costume when I go on holiday, but I do pack a
couple of 'g' strings. That way, if I do get stuck somewhere at least
I've got something to wear.

One year we took my mother in law to Studland . As an old lady with a
hip problem she couldn't manage the path that we normally use to get
to the beach so we parked in the NT carpark at the south end. It's all
textile there so I had to wear something.

Better a 'g' string than a pair of trunks.

And this has nothing to do with being a naturist.

This kind of thing does not fit in the european way of thinking about naturism
and certainly not in the Dutch way. That the reason you didn't get an answer from
here.
