Harvard Men's Swimming on the WWW

Just to let everyone know, I today re-furbished the "Other WWW Links"
section on the Harvard Swimming WWW Server.  We now have 34 swimming
links listed.  If you know of any that aren't listed, please let us know

We're also putting up results to the YWCA Nationals, and I've completed
posting the results to men's and women's NCAA Division I champs.  (Men's
NCAA results now have full condensed results as well as psych sheets from
before the trials for those interested.)  All in all, we're serving about
2 megabytes of meet result text in addition to our regular WWW material.
We're also reaching new records in access to the server.  During the
month of March, we were accessed by over 1600 unique sites.

Not at all... we're fortunate enough so that our site is quite
under-utilized at the moment.  It's run by the Harvard Computer Society
(of which I'm the "Network Group Director") for the benefit of student
organizations on campus.  We're currently the home of about 60 or so
student groups, serving e-mail accounts, Majordomo mailing lists, gopher
space, ftp space, and WWW space.  The server itself is a DECStation
5000/120 with 1 gigabyte of hard drive space, running Ultrix v4.3a and
NCSA httpd 1.3.  We're directly attached via 10 mbps ethernet to the
Harvard student network, which quickly runs to a fiber link to the
NEARNet and the Internet as a whole.  As such, most of you should get
rrelatively quick resonses from the machine.  With extremely rare
exception, the load on our machine hovers around 0.2.  If you'd
like to see the root pages of the HCS, check out http://hcs.harvard.edu/
