Murray Rose's blokey image and Diane, the 'people's princess'

This may be of interest to swimmers.

Murray Rose, Australian Olympic swimming gold medallist and former world
record holder (1500m and 400m), is appearing on television adverti***ts in
Australia for a television station.  He talks at the edge of a pool while
standing in the pool and leaning on the edge in a relaxed manner, whilst
talking in a blokey Australian manner and accent.  Dawn Fraser appears in
the adveri***t also.

The following parallels between Murray Rose and the dead 'people's princess'
may interest some.

All right, having made the correction Murray Rose was born in England and
knowing Elton John sings 'Goodbye England's Rose', it might be pointed out
this appears to be a parallel.  However since we still have Murray Rose very
much with us, I refuse to count this as a parallel.

Absolutely Thomas !!

Whats's black and speeds through the night at 200kph ? The plot that John
Heenan has lost again !!!
Is there a parralel between John Heenan and Henri Paul  ??? None ....John's
Prozac ran out !!!

I may be accused of furthering this idiot's enjoyment of blatant affront,
by replying to these posts but I can tell you all that he is very much a
person
of interest to many in a very different way.

Gee Martin. I cannot but wonder at your own forgetfullness of astonishing
parallels.  However, like your own observed parallels, they fail to
distinguish either Murray or Diane from many others, so I guess these extra
paralells are as silly as yours!

Are swimmers mentally retarded and/or emotinally damaged?

The incoherent rubbish below has some amusemant value.

The affront I have demonstrated is to show a measure of interest outside
swimming and to show a measure of interesting, original and independent
thinking.  I guess this in sport is akin to

A: Criminal behaviour
B: Insanity

Odd given that sports people, particualarly swimmers, spend much of their
lives in voluntary sensory deprived environmant, undertaking reptitive and
painful experiences.  Suggests some sort of mental damage or retardation.

Exactly.

And mine were as silly as yours.  Mine were a bit more parallel than
yours though.  In fact, yours could be described as orthogonals.  You
could have called your article, "Why Murray Rose and Diana Spencer were
not the same," and it would have been just as silly.

If you had written it to be humorous, well... but you don't do humor,
do you, John.
