With the grit that was used for blasting, and if it is the original (factory
canister) you will never get it all out with the baffles and everything else
that could restrict it in there. I would be leary on some of that blasting
material getting sucked back into the cylinders, causing more damage than it
is worth trying to use the old unit. Wait and see what the blasting company
comes back saying, but I would expect them to at least pay part of the costs
of replacing the unit, and a free coating job afterwards. Maybe everything
would be OK on the otherhand, with Murphy's law, you might be 40 miles from
civilization with a sled broken down.
Maybe someone else has an opinion on this (not on this message board), that
may be more useful.
