Thinking of a sled for my wife and son to ride.  Any comments on this
sled? No reverse or electric start.  Is top end about 55mph???
Thanks.

Just keep in mind, as your son/wife gets used to driving that sled, it's now
going to be pinned on every straight away and lake crossing.  This will
dramatically reduce your lifespan.  Especially since this is a two up sled.  The
extra weight will just put even more strain on the motor.  If your concerned
about saftey with respect to speed, limiting thier power from the start just
means that you'll have to buy a bigger sled in a couple of months/years due to
worn out/blown up 340.  You car goes maybe twice the speed limit, but you don't
drive it that fast.  Hitting a tree at 55 mph on a T-cat is gonna hurt the same
as a 340 at 55 mph.  Education is the best way to keep your kid/wife from
getting killed by too much power.  Also, I assume you have your own sled.
Suppose it breaks.  Are you gonna have fun on a 340 fan when yours is in the
shop?  My advice would be at least a 440 liquid.  The ZL comes with an optional
2-up seat.  Just my thoughts and opinions. Take them for what they are worth.
