Need Some Arctic Cat Info! Help!!!!

Post by tshear » Thu, 23 Jul 1998 04:00:00

Hi!
After a few years of beating up a 1971 Ski Doo TNT, I have finally entered
a new decade and am the proud owner of a 1990 Arctic Cat Prowler. Only 1
problem. I think that the sled was rolled and has parts from different
years on it. I am trying to gather as much info as I can (ie factory
diagrams like the dealer microfiche) to get my sled back to "normal". I am
looking forward to riding this sled this winter and would like it in to be
in good shape soon. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tom

Your Arctic dealer has all the microfiche stuff you need to look at and will be
happy to let you look through it.

I have called Arctic Cat directly in the past and they have sent me a broucher
from as far back as 1989. Give it a try.

I also had a 1990 Prowler. Not a bad sled, but not great. You may first start
by going to the dealer and ordering a manual for it.(about $10).
One of the reasons I sold mine was it handles like shit. I had to play
around alot with the ski allignment. Also I had to change the rear shock to a
Fox shock which made it alot stiffer. The engine did work good. I managed to
hit 90 on the speedo a few times on the lake.(well that is what the speedo
read and had a Wildcat beside me reading the same). Like I said before go to
the dealer and get yourself an owners manual.
                  good luck  Rod
