Hand Warmers for Seat Jack?

Hand Warmers for Seat Jack?

Post by Gerry Petra » Thu, 16 Sep 1999 04:00:00

Does anyone know of a good handwarmer ("hot grip") product
that is appropriate for use with the Seat Jack?

The Seat Jack is a temporary 2-up seat addition that has
metal hand bars for the passenger to hold onto.  I would
like to add handwarmers to fit onto these bars.   See
http://www.industriesjack.qc.ca/Pages/Pages_A/Seat_A.htm

The bars are rounded and the seat removable so I am looking
for a flexible handwarmer that can fit a rounded bar and
preferably something with connectors to allow quick and easy
removal.

Go to a Yamaha dealer. I saw what your looking for on a
Vmax 600 DLX. I dont remember what year but I think it was the second
year they came out, whenever that was. They are a flexible heating pad
that wraps around the bar and snaps together with dome snaps. Maybe
there is some self stick velcro or something on the bar to prevent
them from spinning. They have connectors on them but they connect to
the sleds harness so you might have to make up your own connection.
I've also got the Seat Jack so I've thought about exactly the
same thing.

Kevin,
I wnt to the local Yamaha dealer who looked it up.  Yes its an
orderable part but the price is $154 Cdn EACH (that is x2, each side).
High margin on Yamanha parts I guess.  I'm not prepared to pay
that much and will keep looking around.  I will let you know
if I find anything (and vice versa if you could).

Regards,
Gerry
