'97 Ski-Doo Summit 670 recall?

Rumor has it that there is a recall on the Summit 670 because of faulty
rod bearings.  Any truth to this?  I picked up mine in July and the
dealer hasn't bothered notifying me nor does he seem to know a thing
about it.

Any detail appreciated....

This was a hot topic in this newsgroup some months ago...it is true for some 670s, so I
would contact the dealer you purchased from, or another if he isn't responsive, and
check it out.  You will probably need the engine and sled serial numbers.  Good luck.

The recall concerned MXZ 670's and Formula 500's that were produced
very early in the production run.  The recall concerns the replacement
of possible faulty needle bearings on the wrist pin of the connecting
rods.  As far as I know, the Summuts were unaffected.
