Snow or no Snow...

Post by Dave War » Fri, 17 Nov 2006 14:11:39

Hi all,
Is this fall/early winter weather a sign of things to come??  Freezing
weather, loads of snow every week just to be washed away in the rain a few
days later.  Three times now in the past three weeks.  Come on now, just
snow, and snow, and snow.......

PS - lots up top in the mountains now........but no way to get to it yet.

That's how it was ALL SEASON last year in Central New York. Worst part
was, I could not coordinate other commitments with the "good" weather,
resulting in a whopping 15 miles!

This year has to be better than that.

Everything that has fallen here, in Prince Albert, SK, so far this year
has stayed. We are above freezing today and have few warmer days in the
current forecast, but I don't think we'll lose too much. We have had
couple of snow falls since Halloween and have between 10 and 15 cm of
snow on the ground. 130km south of us, in Saskatoon area, some people
have been riding already.

Just read on a website local to our cabin that there is 18" on top of
Tollgate (NE OR)!  I hope this isn't a tease and that we end up with a
warm and/or dry winter instead.....
