What is the differences between these sleds?  What are the prices? Which
one.  I ride 2 cats now, but I love that Yellow paint, and how the ski's
head skiward.

Hi Bruce, I just rode the ZL500... My father bought one. Very nice sled all
around sled. I too love the yellow paint and own the mxz 440 lc. I would
never trade my 440 in on any sled out there but you cant buy my 440 anymore.
Between the mxz 500 and the zl500, its pretty much a coin toss. If I already
owned the cat clothes I would probably lean towards the cat.

IMHO You cant go wrong between the two sleds tho...

I bought the Mxz 500, you should buy the Cat.  The skidoo has 2 recalls all
ready, and in 54 miles of use I have been in the dealers shop for over 3 weeks.
Read some of the past Mxz 500 pissed/reliability postings for the full story.
Bottom line is until they get a quality control program ay Bombardier, I
wouldn't touch there yellow piece of shit.  I bought one, so there's an unhappy
98 Mxz500 owners opinion.

...... Ya,  Buy the Cat , it only has a plugged heat exchanger
recall so far .  Uh, lets try to be fair about the slamming huh.
Ya MXZ 500 had it's turn at the racall stuff just like every brand
this season,   lets be fair and say they are both EXCELLENT sleds
capable of big grins performance.

There is no recall on the heat exchangers.  Dealers just supposed to
make sure the coolant is flowing.

Exactly..  But unfortunately that bulletin came out after the bulk of
deliveries.

There should have been some owner notification IMO. You guys saw it here
but how would you have liked to deal with a problem on a first ride? Or
deal with a buddy with no sled for said ride?

.... Give it up guy's,  I wasn't insulting your wife, Just trying to
make a fair comment on each sled. The fact that the heat exchanger
thing was not an official recall is not the point. They both , and
most others go through the recall thing at one time or another,
As I said before, Both are excellent sleds, I think if I rode in the
twisties at more than 8/10th regularely, I'd get the Cat.  But it is
most certainly a Win/Win  situation in either case.
