I am looking at purchasing a low mileage (1500 mi.)  580 EXT.  My
questin is --- Is this a good sled, how dependable were they, and should
I have any concerns about the fact that it is fuel injected, vs. carbs?
Any help or coments------

It's a good sled, but they're not as "trail friendly" as the ZR family. The
ZR's have the FOX shocks which are much better at mogul bashing than the
Ryde FX found on the EXT. I have a 97 EXT 600 triple. I used to have a 95
ZR 580 EFI. The ZR could take the bumps alot better. For about $700.00 US
you could outfit the EXT with the FOX shocks, front and rear. If you're the
"gas and go" type, you'll like the EFI. I like to tinker with my machine,
and carbs give me more options. Hope this helps.
