Hello

I realize that many of you have probably heard about this before,
but I thought maybe it should be repeated for those of us that may
have aqquired an E***r or any other 570 Yamaha.  Be aware that
the coolant line from the water pump to the front heat exchanger
WILL wear from rubbing against the recoil cover.  After buying my
93 EX II SX last year, it was the first thing I checked, and sure
enough, it had almost worn a hole through it.  One of our group
had one blow on a trip and it will obviously ruin the trip.  Ever since,
we've all wrapped that particular hose with another coolant hose cut
down the length, perhaps even with the one that looks questionable.
Replacement cost was around 70 Can plus labor if you can't do the work
yourself.

Just trying to save the uninformed from having a bad trip.

I have a 1994 Ski Doo Formula 470 and the coolant hoses wear in several
places,
the same repair was applied, wrapping with rad hose.
Of note is a hard place to see, the starter rope behind the coolant tank
support wears against a coolant hose.
I've checked my 1996, 583 Summit and found no problem areas with coolant
hose's wearing.
