New Look Ski-Doo

Had a chance to look at the brochures at the dealer this morning and
all I have to say is that some are good and some might need help.
The Formula with the Maroon looks good and kind a ritzy.
The New chassis takes a few looks to accept but not all that bad.
The mid height windshield on the Summits needs work.
The Yellow on the Summit X if it is bright like the MX-Z than it
will be O.K.
From the looks of things the orange could be a little brighter.
The new 600 motor hopefully will be bulletproof with the new case reed
induction.
The high end sleds like the Mach look pretty loud with all the colors.
For the most part the highest selling sleds will continue to be so for
Ski-Doo because those are the one's that don't get the major changes in
chassis and color for 1999.

All in all I will keep my 1998 Summit X from what I have viewed. I really
like the blue/ white combo.

Say have I got a deal for you.  Seems that all of the old Polaris models
had that blue/whie combo look.  If you really feel that you need that
old B/W combo look around and you just might come up with a late 70's
Polaris.  I know there are a lot of young pups out there that were still
cutting teeth in those days but it is a fact, they were blue and white.

THE 600 is not a case reed...the reeds are in the cylinders. supposed 118
horsepower.
Hmmm...what's Cat's new 700 rated at?? 115hp??  wow, what an interesting
season '99 will be.
just wait till 2000 when Doo bores this new engine out to 700 or 800 ccs.

I couldn't agree more. The easiest way to sell the leftover 98s is to make the
new ones ugly. I guess I'll by the 98 FIII
