What area of the country is this for? In the mid-atlantic, this drought is
supposed to last til spring. Who knows?

Right now I'd be happy if they could get the forecast for tomorrow right let
alone this winter. Last week the prediction every day was for a high of
82...then the next morning it was suddenly going to be 92 and of course the
next 3 days would be 82. This went on all week...never did stay at 82.
When they can tell me the next day I'll trust next winter...till then I just
pray to God...give offerings to Buddha....praise Allah....and any others
that I can find.

Boy, you can say that again!!!  I think if anything the weather
forecasting is getting worse!  They've been wrong more than they've
been right this summer.  Every long-term winter forecast for the last
5 years has been wrong, why should their record improve now?  If they
finally get one right , it will just be luck!

We'll just have to wait and see...

Well lets see, I bought a new 00 MXZ 600 SE.
Everytime anyone in my family bought a new sled the snow was poor.
We bought 1 in 97 and 2 and 98 so let me apologize to everyone.

I hoping that the streak is broken,
Mike

We've broken our July precipitation record here in Central Wisconsin.  I
think we're back to
normal after the last two years being pretty dry in the summer.  Sure do
hope so.  Neat thing
is that I know of some people who have practically brand new sleds that
haven't even left
their yards and are two years old already.  I think we're due for some snow
up here.

That's what we assumed last year with Lake Superior temps above normal...
now they are way higher that last year...

I'm leaving things open - and going out West if need be.

All those low mile sleds will certainly kill resale values

Lets hope the trend to be totally wrong continues. The NOAA long range winter
forcast for New England is for the drought to continue.
