But, it was a close one on the stream today.  These little bastards
called muskrats make these mini beaver house dwellings and I got one
taking a corner hard under power and well, it was a pretty sketchy
moment!

Lets back up a bit,, first local ride last Sunday in pure junk
conditions.  Frozen shit trails to hell and back is more like it and
that's perhaps a bit of an understatement.  I honestly loved it even
though it sucked, figure that one.  Got snow, ice, snow, since then,
not much but every little bit helps and it made a two to three inch
crusty type substance over nightmare base.  All good on the stream of
hard ice.  First rip up and back, super tight conditions leaving
little margin for error had me stopped, half teary eyed becouse my
hands and wrist cramped up so bad.  All part of the warm up and things
progressively got more intense from there.  Run her up and back
enought times to turn the crust to soft chewed up lines which should
solidify tonight becouse it's ***ing cold out.  Half hours time from
4 pm on went from relative comfortably cold to long lingering snow
dust and I was seriously under dressed.  Wood stove feels pretty sweet
right about now as does this long overdue cushy computer chair we
scorred today, and the beers are like an ol friend that stabs you in
the back from time to time.

Streams a popular place considering I can ride an entire season in
the past and see no one.  Bearded family man on his shitmobile pulling
kiddies in the sled seemed like a good feller untill he ventured into
my action.  Take a hint, your over there and Im over here ya
sum***.  Feller trapping bate shinners turned out to be a good ol
boy and Im glad I took the time to BS before heading back to the
trailer park.

Good day off, the kind that makes everything make sense if you know
what I mean and that my friends is just some of the story.

You need your own blog/site. You know, somewhere where you can write
thoughts and insert pictures during that thought, help paint the
picture of the thought process if ya will.

Hey Dave, that looks nice! I've been noticing those World Press sites
becoming popular recently. X6667 or anyone else just needs a cheap place
to host it then!

Good luck on your quest to retire! And ya know, you could just come to
"little Mexico" AKA Chicago, LOL!

anyone is interested.  Donations welcome.......

Man, that would probably be too scary for general consumption. Too much
insight into x6667's thought process would likely blow our minds!!!;-) I
do like his awesome pictures and it would be great to see more of them.

Thanks for the input fellers.  Been toying around with the google
page deal and Im sure it offers more than I've figured out as of yet.
Better than the Road Runner site and you can't beat the price of
either so I guess I won't complain, too much.

Colder than a ***es***aye?  Neg 18 and 17f respectively the last
couple nights with snow coming in Sunday, again.  Only got one day off
last week on acount of last Sundays storm so no stream follow up.
Maybe today, dunno got the kid, grandkid, 'soninlaw', woman of ten
year to entertain and them cornholes are all still sleeping, WTF!

So this is a trial and no new images unless you missed them the first
time around.  Have taken ***for pictures non work or ***l related
in the last year so it's pretty slim pickings.  Im working on it
though and if I can ever get ahead on the home front Ill have good
stuff to share.

At least the baby is starting to wake (lazy ***ers!).

Alright,, here's what's going on..  Works slowed down do to the
global economic meltdown and that's cool with me in fact I really want
to get laid off.  So this means were working 40 to 50 hours a week and
that means 3 day weekends, yeah buddy!  But, it tends to snow on
weekends, just like last year, and that means I'm getting boned out of
my 3 weekend.  Didn't ride last Sunday becouse we got one hell of a
storm, again.  And If I wasn't working right now Id have some sled
stories to tell with picture proof, sigh.

  But whatever.

Had today off and didn't ride becouse I had shit to do and the light
was flat and it snowed a little and I got a new belt plus a gallon of
oil and it only cost me 130 bucks, wicked bargain!  Got plans for
Saturday and that includes the daughter, grandson, son in law, dog,
coming up again which all plays second fiddle to me I my.  So where am
I going with this..  Mkay, local trails and conditions are mint for
this time of year and I've got jack *** for seat time.  I need
practice, bad!

No 'good' picture on the site as of yet but I could throw you some
pretty cool stuff.  Funny thing is I was thinking the same thing as I
was surfing Daves site lol.  BTW great stuff Dave and my attractions
to South of the border may or may not be the same as yours, alas I
doubt Ill ever go there.  In fact I'd like to winter in BC, need a
house sitter?

Wes, I've tried to tone things down and I think I've mellowed out
significantly in real life but theres this overwhelming theme that
knaws away which preaches mellow = lame thusly I'm not going quietly
unto that good night.  Offers on the table my freind, some good day in
March hitting the hills with a conglomerate of Mainer mofos most of
which are far more civilized than Ill ever be.  I'd invite Gary but
he's from Zimbabwa where ever the *** that is!!

Vid was a funny for my daughter, she's a good sport and I love her
like the bestest friend Ill ever have.  First pic on the site is the
only new one, taken around noon today looking out the back door.
*** is raggin, and Im pounding brewskies so forgive me in advance
gods.

You visit my site and don't sign my guestbook...  I'll forgive you this
time - nobody has signed it since 2005.......
Yes, we're leaving Wednesday for warmer climates - I must be getting old.
Just cant take this endless overcast/foggy winter weather anymore.  Of
course, it is crystal clear and sunny above 5500 ft, but the avalanche
danger is still too high....

I do in fact need a house sitter - 3 cats and a dog need tending to.  Any
takers?????  Sledding season is in full swing here with avalanches taking
lives every weekend it seems...
