I think you'll enjoy the ride on the Indy more than the E***r. I have
an 1986 Indy Trail and an 1987 Yamaha E***r and there is really no
comparison on the ride. The Polaris IFS really handles the bumps much
better than the Strut suspension on the E***r. My E***r can
cetainly out run the Indy Trail (488 fan cooled) and actually is
ergonomically better (i.e. just "feels" better when your sitting on
it). The Indy 650 should be able to out pace the E***r, although I've
never had the privelege of riding a 650 Indy.
Watch the primary clutch on the Yamaha, mine died right after I'd bought
it (used) because of lack of maintenance (7900Km). The cost of parts
from Yamaha forced me to buy a Comet 108EXP replacement (nice clutch).
No clutch, from any manufacturer can survive a long periods with no
Good Luck and let me know what you decide on.
> Correction, I'm going to hopefully by either a Indy 650 or E***r, not a 400.
