Yamaha Power Tour Markham - SHAME!!!!

I visited the Power Tour last night to see the new Yamaha 2003 sleds.
How can a huge company like Yamaha put on a sh*t poor show like that!
It was disgusting.

The place was empty.  A couple of sleds on the ground and the others,
get this, UNASSEMBLED on metal crate frames, displayed on tables!  No
suspension, no track, just a cab, seat and tunnel.

You could't pick up a sled, test the suspension or open a hood!  My
local antique club can put on a better show!  There were a few lackys
from Yamaha head office and they were useless!  I asked them for the
real deal on the RX1 weight.  They didn't want to answer.  They said
everything was prototype, blah, blah....

I asked him...probably over 620lbs with fuel and coolant, right?  He
smiled and gave me a brochure.

What a bunch of chumps.  I drove almost two hours for a bullsh*t show!

People walked out shaking their heads.  No deposit from me.  Do they
think we're stupid?

That's sad, for any brand/rep to do that.
Maybe it's an isolated***up.......
but I've never been to one of those shows.  (yet)

I did not have the same experience here in Minneapolis.  The reps were very
helpful and were willing to discuss everything I asked about.

Realizing that asking the "weight" question is just going to give me the
typical Marketing spin I thought I would wait until the mags way the different
brands and models and give us the real deal.  They did have a "do not lift -
prototype" note on the machines.  But honestly when I get mine I don't want 500
people walking by and picking it up either and I don't have to travel all over
the country making sure the machine looks good for each event.

I knew enough about the RX-1 through my other sources that I didn't need to ask
many questions.  But I sat on an RX-1 and was opening hoods and looking all
around the machine.  They even started the RX-1 2 or 3 times during the half
hour I was there.

They also gave my daughter and other kids a model of the SXViper.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience.
