HELP! John Deere Liqudator help needed!

Post by Jua » Wed, 23 Jan 2002 14:42:13

I am looking for any information, parts, articles, advertising, and
even parts and/or complete Deere Liquidators. There has to be someone
out there who either raced these or was involved with them in the
1970's or still has one that would be for sale. Also maybe someone has
a spare engine or parts for one. The engine is a 339cc Kioritz/CCW
KEC340RS  24/LC
60mm bore, 60 mm stroke, liquid cooled. Carbs were Mikuni VM36
I really need con rods/crank assembly and would like to find an NOS
hood and decals.

At this point, I would like to hear from anyone who was around these
sleds or knows the history of them. I really want to get mine restored
as well as learn about their involvement in racing in the mid 1970's.
Also need a parts book for this engine, I have one on the sled itself.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!!!!!

Hey check out this site for John Deere stuff.
http://SportToday.org/
I myself have a 1980 JD Liquifire that I want to some day restore.
The only problem I have with the sled is the recoil starter.
It seems to***up after only about 30 pulls.
Other than that it's pretty well complete.

HELP! John Deere Liqudator help needed!

There's one sitting in the snowmobile museum on Hwy. 70 in St. Germain,
WI... I just looked at it last week.  I believe it was the actual sled that
won one of the big cross country races (I-500 or Soo-500).
Call Image Enterprises www.imageenterprises.com at 715-479-7427 and ask
of Bob.  They bought out all of John Deere's sled parts when they went out
of the business.  They have posters, brochures, manuals, parts and a museum
quality collection of race old sleds.
