He did not skate (due to recent loss of his father?) -- did he get a bye to
Nat'ls?  And why didn't Jason Sylvia skate LP?

I dont know about Shep.  Jason got hurt badly while toepicking in on his triple
lutz in the long. He had to be taken out by paramedics.  I dont know what he
hurt, but I think it was his knee.

I talked to him saturday night, he broke his patella while picking, and
won't be skating in nationals.

Aww that's so sad.  This is one year that he could've actually make the World
team!!!  I was really hoping to see him at nationals and possibly Worlds!

Hope he gets well soon.

Uh, the skater with the broken patella is Jason Sylvia, not Shep Clark.
Jason would have been a *real* long shot to make the World team.

Shep was at the rink today skating wonderfully; it was the first time I had
seen him in Boston since October.  Does the US have three men's spots this
year?  It seems like, except for Mike Weiss, there are several guys who could
take one, depending on how they skate that day.  Derrick Delmore, Tim Goebel,
Shep Clark... who else am I forgetting?

Trifun Zivonovic...the ever forgotten skater...is coming on like gangbusters.
He has won or medaled at several international competitions lately, and won
Pacific Coast last week.  I wouldn't count him out.
