The past 4 weeks on the Legends competition, Cathy Casey (sp?) really
got on my nerves.  She may know her stuff, but with her constant talking
and analyzing, it was hard to hear the music of the skaters' programs.
Maybe ESPN didn't have the music turned up loud enough or something,
but I would rather hear commentators talk softly and only when necessary
about what the skater is doing.  I really didn't need to know that they have
done a case study that says you don't go any higher on a triple axel than
a double, that it is caused by wrapping your arms faster.

I really don't like ABC's commentaters.  Dick Button is okay, but all
he and Peggy Fleming and Julie Moran do is talk through a whole
performance.  I like Sandra Bezic's style.  She says stuff, but leaves
theperformance to be enjoyed.  Peggy Fleming seems to be more
concerned with what a skater eats for breakfast or who made the
skater's costume.  It's dissapointing they will be covering the Worlds
this year as well as Nationals.  Scott Hamilton is by far the best
commentater.

What's even worse is when ESPN cut the screen down to 3/4 of it's
normal size to show us results of Football and Basketball.  It's not like
they run skating results during a football game.  No matter what it always
seems to happen during a *good* piece!!!
