Yes, thanks for the info.  It helps point out one of the problems of politics -
stating a politically correct reason for taking a position, when the true
reason may be something quite different.  How many indeed voted for age
restrictions because it is "unseemly" to have children beating their slightly
more mature competition, when the sport "should be" one of artistry and grace -
not "stroke, stroke, stroke, jump".

Well, why not start judging the competitions on artistry and grace then,
instead of tallying the triple jumps completed and giving the gold to the one
with the highest count.
