Off Season? What Off Season?

Post by Pliny, The Eld » Tue, 06 Apr 1999 04:00:00

I notice that some of our controlling personalities (whose names, for
hygienic reasons, shall not be mentioned) are busy try to define who
can post, how much, in what way, and encouraging ostracism for those
who offend.  Well, there's the answer for those who ask the question:
"Now that Worlds are past, what do we do?"  If one finds oneself
needing to shape the universe to suit one's own definition of how
things ought to be, there is never an "off season".  Ask Senator Exon,
Rev. Wildmon, or Rev. Falwell.

Phase four, vintage Che. Pliny is an aggrandizing choice for yourself, isn't
it?

NOTE: Yes, I've changed my posting screen name. It's an experiment. ;^)

Well, Che, it didn't take long for you to revert to your favorite topic, did it?

Some challenges and facts:

1. Name your "controlling personalities." You never have. You've simply
slung mud at people anonymously under your usual anonymous moniker.

2. The comment "for hygienic reasons" was a flame, pure and simple. You
obviously think yourself free of all disease (no comment).

3. No "controlling personalities" here try to define "who can post how
much, in what way, and encourage ostracism for those who offend." The FAQ
does that. The FAQ was, and can be, contributed to by everyone. Charge
dismissed.

4. The "now that Worlds are past, what shall we do?" comment was another flame.

5.  As for this part:

Quote:
>If one finds oneself
>needing to shape the universe to suit one's own definition of how
>things ought to be, there is never an "off season".  Ask Senator Exon,
>Rev. Wildmon, or Rev. Falwell.

...I nominate it for Ironic Post of the Week. And it's only Monday.

If those purported definitions existed and had any teeth to them, you
wouldn't have been able to post this.  But you did, so they don't, so
what are you going on about?

Oh, he's in his "scorned prophet" phase again....  *sigh* ...  I wish
they'd learn how to correctly wean him off his meds.  This pattern is
too predictable.

Appropriate, though. Pliny the Elder didn't know enough to avoid erupting
volcanoes. <grim smile>

Trudi Trudi!  Stay on Topic please!  The gentleman to whom you refer is not the

This is the weird thing about scorned prophets -- they keep ranting at
people who have already demonstrated they aren't interested, as if
repetition will make anything they say more compelling.
