His name is Paul Binebose.  I've been looking for updates myself.  Hope
he's doing OK.

Me again.  Check out Figure Skating World, there's a thread there with
some updated information.  This accident really makes you realize just
how scary Pairs Skating can be.
The FSW address is:

Someone named Plinky has been posting detailed updates on FSW.  Here's
the URL for the thread:

http://www.fsworld.com/bboard/Forum1/HTML/012452.html

To summarize the latest report, Paul is still in a drug-induced coma
but his condition has stabilized and the doctors are optimistic.  It
will be a few more days before things are likely to change.

BTW, in case anybody is thinking about such things, even if Paul
eventually makes a full recovery, I can't imagine that he & Laura will
be able to compete at Skate America which is only a bit over 3 weeks
away now.

Thanks for the info and URL, Sandra.  It sounds like things are looking
up as far as his prognosis, but wow, still very scary.  I had the
pleasure of seeing Laura and Paul win the Junior Worlds tryouts last
season, and after their program, Paul sat up in the stands near my
section.  He seemed very pleasant, thanked everyone who congratulated
him and Laura, etc.  I hope he makes a quick and full recovery...

The thing I remember most is about how one of them (can't remember who)
said they were scared to death during the free skate at Nationals... I
just thought that was rather endearing because you could really tell they
were nervous.

It is a very sad and disturbing happening as both members of the team are great
kids.  I have been asked by the USFSA to pull them from both Skate America and
Lalique.  I will do so with great personal sadness

So who is going to replace them at Skate America?  Are the Stieglers
now going in their place?  I thought the Steiglers should have been
given Skate America in the first place.
