APG's deception!

APG's deception!

Post by Bill Mil » Sun, 06 Nov 1994 05:35:34

The December issue of APG has arrived here, and tries to pull the wool
over our eyes!

It seems every time they run a picture of someone without goggles or a
barrel plug (while holding a 'gun) a lot of people write in about the
bad example they are setting by running the picture.

Of course a lot (most) of the photos are submitted from all over the
country, so it is understandable how they wouldn't have control over the
content, and they have to run something to fill the pages that don't
have ads.  It seems to me perfectly reasonable that a few photos would
lack goggles and or barrel plugs.

Anyhow, check out Page 30, with the picture of a team at the 'Buckeye
Bash'.  Take a peek at the third guy from the left.  He's got a barrel
plug on that 'mag allright, but it was CHEESILY DRAWN IN WITH A FELT TIP
PEN!

Be seeing you...

Well take this as an opportunity to write to APG and complain how badly
they drew the barrel plug.  Then suggest that they run a barrel plug
drawing contest.  Getting back on topic what the APG staff really needs
is a good picture manipulation program.  Rather than resort to a felt
marker drawn barrel plug, they could've copy and graft on a barrel plug.

Wow, I just happened to have the mag next to the 'puter and took a quick
look..  YOUR right!  With a quick glance, I didn't notice it, but after
looking at it, It was drawn in afterwards!  REAL CHEESY!

I dunno, Bill.  It looks like a darker one of those damned "Happy Face"
barrel plugs turned onto it's side.  But that's my analisis.

Assuming you're talking about that game where you all came around
on our collapsed left flank, it was also the game that your 45th
through 50th rounds nailed me in the back and head *after* I was
already called out. :)

Oh poop, that takes it down to 2 or 3 (the first one was taking fire
from 2 angles, and I don't know for sure who got him, though I am pretty
sure it was me), still above the 2% bragged about earlier.  I guess I
also omitted the fact that hit number 2 (or one if I didn't get the
first guy) was Dawn who's air was low enough that whe wasn't firing
accurately anymore.

Sorry if I laid too many pellets on you, when I got around the back,
your stance still looked agressive, so I fired.  I guess playing with a
semi now is giving me an itchy trigger finger.

Be seeing you...
