question on ON/OFF on preregulated nitroduck tanks

Post by HeLLhOuN » Fri, 21 May 1999 04:00:00

I just ordered a nitroduck carbon fiber tank, the one that has the pre set
regulator and screws into the gun.
My question is, is there an ON/OFF?
I really dont want to have to***this off and have nitrogen fly out at me
like c02.
Is there an "ad-on" that i can use as an on/off?
does anyone have ond of these tanks and can help me out here??

Thanks alot!!!

I have on MicroReg myself, and I can tell you that there's no on/off. It comes
with the "pin style" valve. The only "add-on" I can think of is a fill adapter,
which I use on mine when I play remote. My new cradle is set up with a fill
adapter also.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else to help you...

Hellhoundr has said that they just have pin valves, but you say you
don't want to have nitro fly out like CO2.  How do you remove your
tanks?  the correct way to do it is to turn them out of the ASA
adaptor 1 1/2 ~ 2 turns to let the pin valve close, and then fire
the gas out of your gun.  If you do this there will be no gas
escaping when you finish removing your tank.  Even if you do just
unscrew the tank the pressure will only be 850 psi, not that that
is good, but it is better than 3~4.5K

Nope, it's a pin valve. Just unscrew it a turn or so, fire until
the gun runs out of gas. No problem.

And it's not like nitrogen is any more dangerous than CO2, as
long as the regulator is working.

I think Cooper T makes on/off style adapters that a pin valve can just***
into.  He has various types, I'm pretty sure at least one of them just screws
in.  The tank might get longer, but that will be less of a problem with a good
dropforward.
