Stainless Steel or Aluminum

I have a huge 13 year old son that has a tendency to bang barrels on the
ground.  He now wants to get a better barrel than the stock Tippmann98
barrel. He is thinking of buying a stainless barrel so that he won't bend it
or mess it up when he falls on it.  I'm concerned that he may actually crack
the cast aluminum casing on the M98 with a stainless barrel.  Do you think
he would be better off to use aluminum and replace the cheaper aluminum
barrels (maybe a J&J for around $40) if he damages it.  (He is 5'10" and
just shy of 200 pounds - Just turned 13 today - Yes he does play football)
