Ask UPS to fix up the problem since they are the fools that ***ed it up in the first place
(assuming you can verify that he paid) , then they are the ones that lost the $1125 not him. Did you ask UPS to
straighten it out for you ?

Here is what happened.  I sold my eclipse angel for 1125 dollars.  I had it
boxed up, but then the postal service said that I could only COD 600 dollars
worth of stuff, so I broke it down into 2 boxes.  One for 600 dollars and one
for 525 dollars.  The lady at the postal service charged me for shipping, wrote
down how much I wanted to COD them for and she gave me a receipt.  However, for
whatevr reason, she only asked for the shipping charges to be paid for COD when
I had specifically told her that I wanted 1125 dollars back.  So, she screwed
up, but they are going to say that it was my fault for not filling it out
properly, however SHE filled it out.  Anyhow, Chris is still obliged to pay for
the gun depite this mistake by the postal service.  His number is mysteriously
disconnected and he wont repond to my emails.  I have contacted my local police
and they say that it is considered larsony and that they can contact his local
police to get it straightened out.  It shouldnt be this complicated, but I am
in need of my money.  If anyone knows this Chris, please tell him to call me if
he wants to get this straightened out.  By the way, if any of oyu live in VA
and see someone using an eclipse angel that is blueish-grey splashed with
silver and black, then it is probably mine.  It was a custom unique color.

Many thanks,

Alex

Man that sucks.  Good luck in catching the thief.  BTW, I didn't know $600 was
the COD limit, is there any way around that besides 2 boxes?  Thanks

I think if you use UPS the COD limit goes up to like $5,000.

To the orignal poster:  A postal service worker almost did the same thing to a
package I was shipping, but luckily for me I caught his mistake...

Give some specifics...what city did dude live in, what's the gun's S/N (you
DID write that down, right?), any other info?  Did he say anything about his
age, where he played, any clues like that?

You REALLY oughta hammer on the postal service for that...if you bought
insurance on the shipment, file a claim right away and include good clear
copies of the shipping slip, etc.

This chris Jones guy lives in Millers Tavern VA.  If I remember correctly, the
serial number is 1621.  It looks just like smartparts grey spolash.  It is
grey/black/silver.  He may chage the barrel or something.  If you see anyone
with an eclipse that looks grey in VA, most likely that is it.   Especially ifd
his name is chris.  i think it will be a rare find in the middle of VA.  Mayube
not.  Many thanks.  If you want to help me get it back, his email address is

Miller's Tavern is close to Richmond, BTW.

I feel your pain, dude...a teammate of mine lost his Autococker to some loser
in upstate NY in a similar way.  At least your gun should be easier to ID.
