Vents Predators (OTG Thermal) -- users?

Anyone using Vents Predator line?  Especially OTG Thermal ones?  I'm
going to be buying a set and I wanted to get some users' reactions.

I use the JT thermals, and they do make a hell of a differance.  The _GOGGLES_!
have never fogged up on me.  However, my glasses still fogged.  So there I was
with a brand new pair of $50 thermal goggles and I couldn't see and damn thing.
because my glasses were completely opaque.

So if you do wear glasses, thermal lenses may not help you.  My best advice is to
get contacts (like I did) or go to one of those sets that have the fans.  I have
heard that the fans are probably the best thing to beat fogging, but have never
seen one.

So does anyone out there use goggles with an internal fan?

A couple of guys on my team just bought them... they swear by them
because they say they get EXCELLENT peripheral vision you do NOT
get from JTs.  They are also very lightweight, I tried them on.

I've played in two tournaments recently.  One was a 10-man and the
other was a 5-man tournament.  ALL the players I played with and
most of the ones I played against all have their own guns.  I'd
say 85%-90% use semi-autos.  The team with all pumps (mainly
BushMasters and Phantoms) got wiped out pretty easily by our team,
but then again, they seemed to be inexperienced.

I think these are considered to be amateur tournaments... you don't
win money or prizes, just plaques and trophies.  The way the tournament
is set up usually is they divide the teams into divisions (redundant?).
Say, 3 divisions of 6 teams each.  Each team plays each team in its divsion
and depending on the total number of points each team scores, the top
2 teams from each division makes the finals.  Each team in the finals
plays each of the other teams.  Team with most points in the end comes
in FIRST PLACE and gets the biggest trophy (and sometimes qualifies them
for other tournaments).

Other notes:

1) You chrono before EVERY game to make sure you are shooting under
300fps (Illustrators checked to make sure they are dialed all the
way up to ensure no on-field velocity changes).

2) Random chrono checks after games.

3) Barrel plugs are mandatory except when on the fields.
You must insert your barrel plug immediately after being
eliminated each game and if not eliminated, when the whistle
   or horn sounds.

4) LOTS of fun!!!

See ya!

Kevin
