O.K.----- I just got an e-mail from espn, I wrote them and asked why
paintball is never shown on their channels.
They told me and I quote"Your sport is to small not enough people are
interested in it"
COMMON NOW ,LIKE LAWN BOWLNG HAS A HUGE FOLLOWING(IT WAS ON YESTERDAY AT
2 AM)
Everybody in this group cries and whines at how misunderstood our sport
is and that every politician is out to get us dangerouse rouges known as
paintballers
I asked people to write e-mails  to diferent companies like espn and I
had --many-many-- responses saying it wouldnt work and it would be a
wast of time.
WELL MAYBE I SHOULD TAKE UP LAWN BOWLING IT SEEMS TO BE MORE POPULAR or
are people going to do somthing this time instead of whine and cry
write espn(go to there website and hit contact)
and maybe this awsome sport will get the recognition it deserves
AND DONT WHINE AND CRY THIS TIME

LOL!! Here in Dallas we actually got a news team out to a local field. They
gave it good publicity, nothing negative in that report! I think you guys
are trying to start out too big. Maybe you should contact your LOCAL news
people before you go calling CNN and other national networks. Start out
small and work your way up. Once enough local stations say good things about
it, CNN and the others will surely follow.
Just my $.02

PS- I'd hate to see what PB would become if Jerry did a show on it : )

actually lawnbowling is probably like 100X more popular than paintball. There are like 4 lawnbowling places in my town but no paintball, though I do wish the would have paintball on ESPN. Another place to ask is the Outdoor Network (we have it in Canada, I'm not sure about the States). They have sports like kayaking, hiking, mountain climbing, etc... I'm sure paintball would fall in with those. Besides, If it were on TV it would only be about dumb tournaments, who cares about that anyway (ie: most people don't play in or fallow tournaments, and couldn't care less).

Anyone here see that "disc-golf" stuff on there. They said it was
popular. (disc-golf= golf played with a frisbee.) It's pretty neato. Now
I have something better to do than watch myself breath in the mirror!

I emailed ESPN just now. C'mon everybody. You spend time writing to this
group, take the time to write ESPN, let them know they're wrong.

Well I don't even know what the hell lawn bowling is, so that should be some
indication.

I know you don't care to find out but here it goes...
Pick up a small round rock..  let's call it rock one.  Throw (roll) that
rock away.  Pick up a bigger round rock.  Roll that rock into the small
rock.  THere are other rules but they aren't important. :):):):)
Although there is one important rule when is comes to playing your first
game.  You must be at least 300 years old and live off only tea and
biscuts.  If there are no Biscuts, Crumpets will suffice.

Happy bowling,

I'm not sure if It Was ESPN, ESPN2 or what, but I've seen Paintball on
national TV, a couple of times..  Infact, 4-5 years ago in NC, Tv was
where I first seen paintball...   It was some turney In Washington
state..  I was like, This could be freakin awesome, I looked in the
phonebook, found a local field and begged my mom to rent the field for
my b-day party..   Ahh those were the days..   Been hooked ever since..
I agree It should be on a lot more, just not on turneys..  Hell, Golf is
on TV, I can't stand to sit there and WATCH people play golf..  It's on
almost every day...  Out with golf, in with Paintball!
Rax!
