PigTV- any other usable plug-ins?

Post by Delewsk » Sat, 12 Apr 1997 04:00:00

Bill,
I would really love to see the PigTV shows, but I have a problem. I
only have WIN 3.11 and MediaWorks doesn't have software that supports
win 3.11... Is there any other utility I can use? If not, is there a
possibility of seeing them in .avi/.fli/.qt format? Thanx.

MediaWorks? Who are they? PigTV uses RealVideo (www.real.com), and yes,
it's a shame that there isn't a 16bit player, but the dll's & so forth are
32bit code, using some calls not in Win32s. Email warpig to ask about
getting uncompressed shows, but RV is used as it provides a vast space
saving, and email Progressive Networks (RV's creators) about a 16bit
version.

Thanx... I just got the name messed up with the company that I think
makes Shockwave... Ah, well... I guess I'll give 'em both an e-mail.

Kinda like an AVI with sound.  And, if you're 28.8 or higher, it's
streaming, so you dont have to wait to d/l it before viewing.  It's pretty
blurry though.

Under the Resource section.  Try http://www.warpig.com/resources/pigtv ,
that will get you close.
