Angel LCD.   Might as well start off with "the best"  (opinions on that will
vary greatly of course).

or a Tippmann Pro/Carbine w/ Lapco Bigshot w/ RainX, shooting RP premium.

As of asking that, Everyone and their mother is going to tell you to buy
X gun. Well X gun also happens to be the gun they own.

As long as you stay in about the same price range (Not counting guns
from brass eagle which are WAY over priced), all paintball guns are
about the same exact thing. The only difference being on how they feel
to the user.

So you want one of the best gun recommendations you can get?
Go out and handle as many different types of paintball guns as you can.
When you find one that you like the feel of, and is in your price range,
then you go out and buy the exact same gun.

Mofo. I'm disappointed at you. After all your time getting generally
beat around the group for one thing or another. To think that you
haven't learned how to deal with a question like that.

The list of guns is inspired (You forgot some though) yet you might as
well told him to go buy all the following:
Gooderplexen
Parrot
Wolf Schlong
Dooderhicky
Penguin ***

Their all just names. He probably doesn't even know what those names
are. Hell why give him reasons why XGun is good?

No, nobody can. All people can do is tell you the pros and cons of a certain
marker, but nobody can tell you which gun is right for you. A lot of people
will preach the Tippman line of guns, which personally I do not like. I may
recommend a Spyder, which other people hate. What you need to do is find some
guns in your price range, weigh the pros and cons of each, and choose which
one feels best to you.

Actually i preach the F4 line. Tippmann reliability and spyder performance with
a lower price tag. Yes, i do own one. But i had a Tippmann First and my
friend's Spyder and another's Piranha are always in the shop. But ultimately
you must go to the store or better yet the field and hold/shoot them.only you
will know what you will like.

First off, Rev, I know you mean well, and I appreciate you pointing out
what you believe I did wrong.  However, the list I provided him was not
at all biased.  I was only naming entry level guns.  It is up to him to
find these guns and try them out for himself.

In addition, Rev, I believe it is best to NOT answer a question such as
this with such a vague answer as:  "All guns have their good and bad
qualities.  You just need to find one that is suitable for you."
Realistically, this doesn't help out the person.  I feel it is best to
provide them with a list of all of the entry level guns available on the
market today, then explain to them it is best for them to try out any
one--if not all--of the guns listed.  From there they should make up
their own mind on what to buy based upon their budget and playing style.

By the way, Rev.... how's your arm?  Can you play?  Wanna meet up and go
at it on the field sometime soon, like you offered that one time long
ago??

Before you decide on a gun you should find a
store that has as many models of guns for you to look at, if you do not have
access to a good store, then go to your local paintball field one Saturday
or Sunday and talk to the players, I am certain they would be more than
happy to give you an earfull on their gun and let you hold and inspect it.
At this point I have to toss my two cents in here on the gun. There is this
nice little company in Idaho that makes a gun here in the good ole USA,
Indian Creek Designs  www.icdpaintball.com. I would suggest you go to this
site and read about their guns too, they actually use materials that are
graded for hardness and quality, machining the guns on CNC systems similiar
to
guns costing three times as much. And ICD guns are every bit as good as all
the Asian guns flooding the marketplace. Almost every other gun below
$300.00 is made from a combination of molded pot metals and rolled aluminum,
not the strongest or best wearing meterial. The most important thing is
having fun and you don't need to spend
a ton of money to do that in this sport. Good luck and happy hunting.

K.B.

Oh yeah... I forgot that I'd hurt myself...  I've even got in a few
games as of late. Well I don't know when next I may play as I need to
save up my money for something. (To bad I didn't know about it weekend
before last) Probably early next month as friends will be back from
school, and I'm also to properly introduce a PB *** to the game.
(Insert evil laugh)

Though I will probably be up at SC this weekend to see the tourney (Not
that I really care about it), and visit with friends. Some online, some
of the more mundane type. Don't count on it though. I may get a new job
that takes much of my time.
