Does anybody out there still use a pump?  I still use mine sometimes, and
love the look on a***er owner's face when he/she gets popped by an old
"low tech" pumper.

I just started playing paintball this summer, the gun I bought
is a maverick pump.  I love going out and playing with it even against
semis.  In fact last week I played in a semi walk on and I took out four
guys with***ers and angels with my pump.  That was the greatest game I
have ever played.

I'm going out tommorow with my sniper II. Just strapped the maxflow on it.
Letting a friend use the angel all day. Its fun to go out and play pump.

I tend to like to run 500 round days, by using my typhoon for
the first 300-350 rounds, then switching to my P68-SC for the
remainder of the day.

I still use my P68 every once in a while.  I really like to use it at a
field where there are alot of people.  It throws the opposition off thinking
that I am a newbie and will suck.  I just wait for them to getthe flag and I
pick people off.

I've got an old Wintec pump that I use to make me move more and shoot
less....

It's even sweeter when you pick off the person with a stockgun.

from my gun collecton below you can see i play basically strictly pump.just got
my houndstooth, pug and rapide and at85 for the scenario games ont he
way.Anyway, taking out big mouth angel players or those guys who brag in the
staging area with a pump is great.  you cant lose
say if you get shot out, its understandible against semis, but when you get
them, they feel violated similar to a prisoner in the showers.anyway, remember,
be aggressive, get up front and the rest will folow.Of course dont forget to
aim

surely.

only own my sniperII and my old Lapco Force Recon *(;=

i'm with the rest of the replies.. love the looks when you walk on the
field nowadays.  everybody says something resembling "so if you have
to *pump* it before you shoot every time, how do you play if you can't
shoot 15bps?"

my how the game has changed, eh?

way back when semi's were coming out, i was still one of about 20% of
the poor folks that didn't want to blow the extra 10 bucks a day for a
semi that broke a lot.  it was fun just for the challenge.  seems like
now that EVERYONE (i'm usually the only pump out there) is shooting
their 'mags, 'cockers, angels, spyders, etc.  its a LOT more difficult
with all the paint flying to move around etc.

either that or i'm just gettin' old.  |grin|

I still use mine very frequently. I lot of times I prefer the pump because it
is so uncompromisingly reliable. I can't remember the last time I broke a ball
or otherwise had a problem with my Bushmaster. Regardless of the weather, the
paint, or whatever, when all else fails, the pump still goes....

Actually, yeah.  It makes it so much more entertaining, let alone cheap to do
play.  I really should get back to stock again, playing with the Phantom in
it's pump configuration spoiled me.  :)

The Phantom has made it's mark in my life ever since the first day I used it on
the field.  Now I rarely ever touch semi play and the rush of going against
higher tech guns in the hands of competent players makes it worth it all the
more.

The legend of the Phantom is growing.  Two other guys I game with often are
becoming stock ***s.  One friend just purchased a Phantom as his primary
gun, laying aside his Sypder as a "loaner".  The other is in the process of
purchasing his first gun, a woodland camo Phantom vertical SC.

Unfortunately though, the local stores raised 10 round tubes to a quarter
each...ouch.

I started with a pump, I still use a pump, I'll always use a pump (except
for big tourneys naturally. :-))

My favorite has always been the Sniper II, but I'm starting to become a
Phantom convert (This is your fault Paul! ;-)). Very simple design, easy to
maintain, convertible from Stock class to gravity feed very easily, one of
the best stock barrels so it's accurate right out of the box (although I did
get mine used for dirt cheap!).

I do like the Phantom, but the Sniper II will always be my main gun. :-)
