Where to get Tiger Stripe Products stuff?

Post by Brian S C L » Sat, 01 Jun 1996 04:00:00

I've only seem a limited amount of stuff in catalogs that I have (Brigade
Quartermasters, U.S. Cavalry).  Mainly pants, shirt, and "advisors" hat.
Can someone point me to someplace on the web, or provide a few other
addresses were I can get more info?  I'd like to get a M-65 style jacket
with their pattern, I've only seen the dark-style tiger striped stuff for
sale mostly... and there ARE light/dark contrasts in the forrest..
I've looked in the latest issue of APG, but couldn't find anything, just
the picture on the cover...

Sincerely,
Brian

Umm, if you want Tiger Stripe Clothing, you may wish to contact the
National Pro Shop in St. Louis (Ok, so it's Fenton, so what?) MO.  They're
phone # is (314) 845-7079.

However, Pursuit Products is on the 'web here, and they have Tiger STripe
Products!  They're URL is on Warpig's list of web pages.

Hate to say it, Rob, but Tim isn't in Fenton anymore.  The old store
was in Fenton, the new store is very much in St. Louis County.  All other
info is correct though.  I will go one further and say...

Hmmm... The Pursuit Products home page has pants and shirt, but not much
else.  I guess I'll have to send for a catalog or something to see if
they have anything more than that at Tiger Stripe Products...

U.S. Cavalry magazine has some pages devoted to ordering various types
and patterns of BDU's.  Included are tiger stripe patterns.
$19.88 for shirt, 19.88 for trousers, ranger and BDU hats also
available.
I just ordered a few pairs for myself and some friends.

Hi...
Hmmm... I have the U.S. Cavalry catalog also.  But I'd like to know
better how the pattern looks like.  Most tiger stripe patterns I've seen
end up very dark when they fade... just green with black stripes.  And
the stripes can be too uniform in thickness and length sometimes, and
don't vary much in angle.  A while ago I read an article by Stan Isa in the
Action Pursuit Games mag about tiger stripe clothing from one Tiger Stripe
Products, Inc.  I was sold on their pattern, which consisted of varying
thickness black stripes which ranged from horizontal to nearly 45 degrees,
plus larger bright areas of light yellow.  But I could only find their
stuff in Brigade Quartermaster's catalog, and it wasn't much.  I'm looking
for an M-65 style field jacket, but I'm not even sure that TSP makes
that.  I've seen ads for tiger stripe M-65's, but they weren't satsifactory.
But, when you receive your order, could you let me know how the pattern
looks like?  In terms of contrasting bright areas, un-uniformness of the
black lines, general quality?  Thank you for replying...

Sincerely,
Brian
