Getting Through NJ

I'm looking for advice on getting through New Jersey w/ a boat trailer.
We are driving from Worcester to ***ia Beach and I expect some
stumbling blocks getting on the Garden State Parkway and/or the NJ Turnpike
since I think both of them have length restrictions.  We're pulling a smaller
boat trailer w/ eights onboard.
Does anyone have any advice as to the best route to take in order to
avoid trouble getting on and having to take surface roads, which may be
time consuming?

Also, anyone know of any restrictions on using the Chesapeake bay
bridge/tunnel?

     Thanks.

From Donahue Rowing Center in Shrewsbury (I figured that's where you're
originating from) take Rt. 290 west to Mass. Pike West to Rt. 84 West to
Rt. 684 South, to Rt. 287 (West or South.....can't remember which...but
certainly not North or East!)  Take my advice and stay on Rt. 287 all the
way to the end.....it will then merge onto NJ Tpke. at Exit 10 AVOIDING
Garden State Parkway where you would have been shut-down.  You shouldn't
have any problems there.    I trust you know the rest of the way to
***ia Beach.  Give my regards to the Hampton Roads R. A. people and the
Old Dominion crowd.  Compare their "facility" to yours at DRC and you'll
kiss the tarmac when you arrive home to the very-posh DRC.  They
definately do a great job at O.D.U. with what they have to work with.
Call me if you have any problems. (617)787-5060.  Drive safely.  I know
your trailer, and thankfully it's one of the best.

Check your map for Interstate 295 - It runs through South Jersey and hits
I-95 when it crosses from PA into New Jersey I think.

I've been on the NJ Turnpike many times with a full length
trailer and never had any problems.  Now I'm not sure if its
legal, but no one has ever asked . . .
