I have a set of 8 sweep oars that need to go from my house in Brighton, Mass.
(Boston) to Jack St.Clair at Villanova University's boathouse along boathouse
row.
The oars had been left behind at the Head-of-the-Charles and I picked them up
at Magazine Beach.

Please respond to this email address or call 888.548.6618.

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,
I've got all kinds of graduates from my team going to school and rowing in
Boston.  I also have a few kids from here at Villanova (including one of the 4
frosh that were in that IRA winning Ltwt 8) While it will take a little doing,
I could easily make it happen with a connection in Niskayuna around the
thanksgiving break.
Talk to me.
Matt

Oh while I've got you.  It seems that I am on the brink of buying my first
Empachers.  A pair of 8's from Cornell's women.  Older boats, I don't know the
age (no older than late '70's, and early to mid 80's I hope)  Do you know
anything about those boats?

What's the matter, Bill?

The oars won't fit on that shiny brand new Mercedes with the "MPACHER" vanity
plates you're cruising around in?

Thought you were buying a truck. But, hey, guys like ME drive pick-ups.

;-)

My lovely, midnight blue  '86 Mercedes-Benz with 160,000 miles on the odometer
(hardly new) has plates on it that say "MPACHR" not "MPACHER" since, as you
know as a fellow Taxachusetts resident, vanity plates in Mass. can have no more
than 6 characters on it.   "FILIPI" would be a nice compromise for YOUR truck.
 :o)

I like the superior craftsmanship that is evident in ALL German products, such
as (but by NO means limited to!) Mercedes-Benz vehicles.  So I took the plunge
and bought my father's old "Benz" for very few Deutsche Marks.

Couldn't resist.  ;o)
