I wonder how many think that what is reported here is acceptable:

I'm sure some will say it's a price worth paying.  Easy for them to say,
since they aren't the ones actually paying with this disruption &
possible destruction of their businesses &/or livelihoods.  I feel very
sorry for these victims, & disgusted by Locog conduct in this matter.

I like to think of it as the "Renaissance" Olympics rather than the "Modern" Olympics.
It's more akin to Il Palio than to Chariots of Fire. :)
