"Hatchet" Blades?

"Hatchet" Blades?

I'd like to hear about experiences with the new "hatchet" blades,
made by Concept II I think.  Word I'm hearing is that they typically
cause an instant increase in boat speed of about 2%, which is a lot!

I'm more interested in sculling results (particularly in a single)
but any type of boat is probably relevant.  Please be quantitative if
possible . . .

If we knew what the hell we were doing, then it wouldn't be research.

I have used them in a single, double and quad.  I liked them in the double and
quad basically because they seemed to bite the water a bit better.  However in
the single I didn't like the feel of them as much.  Seemed like I had to
finesse the catches a bit differently and a few problems on windy days.
All said I'd use them on the larger platform boats.
