Integrity Pro 2000 Erg - Opinions wanted!

Post by n.. » Tue, 03 Oct 2000 04:00:00

Hi everyone
I recently found the Integrity Pro 2000 ergometer for sale on-line.  It
looks very much like the Concept II Model C, but is much cheaper.  Has
anyone used one of these?  Can anyone offer any opinions on this
product?  I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy it.  (And of
course, the site I want to buy it from is "all sales final."  So, I
need to make sure before I buy.)

Thanks!
Natalie

Integrity Pro 2000 Erg - Opinions wanted!

Natalie:

I'm pretty sure people will tell you that a used CIIC is a better
investment.  I bought one for $450 during a regional erg sprint, or CRASH B,
competition.  You have to arrange for the purchase beforehand with the
club's organizer, and then pick up the erg afterwards.  The machine had been
used extensively in a boathouse, but I spent about $50 to upgrade all of the
major componentry, rollers, pulleys, bungee chord, etc. and then thoroughly
cleaned it.  I think it's as good as new.  You can also get brand new ergs
at a slight discount after a competition, and people frequently bring their
old ergs (usually Model Bs) there to sell.  I know nothing about the
Integrity though.
