Has anyone tried both the waterrower and the concept II and can you
compare them for me?  Thank you.

I have only taken a few strokes on a waterrower.  I felt that it did not
accelerate as easily and smoothly as a Concept II.  It felt a little like
there was a maximum speed that the wheel could attain within the water.

Just my opinion.

yes we did in Belgium and the waterrower gives you more the real feeling of
rowing and no metal sounds... You can adapt the resistance rather easy by
using more water

I had a chance to test out the Waterrower this week-end ( at a place
called the Fitness Network just off the A3 in Surrey)
These are my impressions.

Good Points:

Firstly its a damn sight more attractive than a Concept, which might not
sound important, but tell that to my wife.

Also its much quieter (same reason as above) and the noise it does make is
actually rather nice.

Very smooth  action, no hint of a snatch.

Easy to store, just stand it on its end.

Not so good points.

To alter the starting resistance you have to add more water. Though if you
row quicker the resistance increases.

Ther computer doest seem as comprehensive as the Concept's.

Unproven reliability?

My 2ps worth is that I think I'm going to buy the Waterrower. I doubt it
will ever replace the Concept in the Gym environment, but its does seem
more suitable for (my) domestic situation.

Does anoyone have any pics of the waterrower online?  I've tried to imagine
what it would look like from its name, but am at a loss.

Thanks, jason.

During next Fisa Masters in Munich I'll be competing with my dutch team for
the numbers1xA, 2xA and 4xB.

For the last day I'd like to make an international combination for a 2x or a
4x.

So if you're a female sculler and you're interested, please react.
