Integrity 2000

Hello everyone;
I was wondering if anyone can compare an Integrity 200 to a Concept I or a
Tunturi.
I have seen similiar questions asked, but no followup questions.

If not could anyone give me first hand knowledge as to how long I might
expect a Concept II to last based on 4 hours a week of use?

Thanks in advance,

chris

Can't answer for the first two questions but can respond to the last.  Our club
has Several 1993 versions (first year out) of the Model C.  I have one at home
as well.  They show virtually no signs of wear with the following exceptions.

The bungee cord that provides chain recoil needs to be replaced once every
several years.

I sweat so much that accumulated perspiration caused the fiberboard
undercarriage of the seat to totally disintegrate. I got a replacement from CII
at nominal cost and sealed the bottom before installing it.  I haven't seen
this happen on the club ergs.  There are about 20 million meters on mine at
home.

Chris:

The Concept II will be obsolete long before you wear it out.  I have a model
C built prior to 1995 that was used by ***agers in a boathouse until I
bought it last year an the regional CRASH B trial.  I replaced the seat
rollers, some of the internal pulleys, and the bungee.  None of these things
really needed to be replaced, it turns out.  I just did it to make myself
feel more like the owner of a "new" machine.  The stainless steel runner
sometimes develops a "click" because it's not bonded to the beam and bows
up, or buckles somehow.  I just run a little oil from underneath and the
click goes away.  I could probably put some bonding material under there and
get rid of the sound entirely.  I think that's what they did on later
models.  So, long story short, you're never going to wear out that machine
at a 4 hour a week pace.  Never.

I don't know anything about the Integrity 2000, except that it's not a
Concept II.

We've got some Concept II B's still going in our boathouse that get put
through regular and large amounts of use - apart from having to replace
the bungees and a couple of seat bearings they're still going strong
(which is good, since we have no money to replace them!)
